Bangsamoro Transition Authority
The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) is the Bangsamoro Government (BG) for the duration of the Transition of ARMM to BARMM. It is vested with Executive and Legislative Power. Its Executive Authority is exercised by the interim Chief Minister while its Legislative Authority is exercised by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority. For the purpose of Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) for the National and Local Government Units, the BTA is deemed to be the Bangsamoro Government.
It is composed of 80 members appointed by the President. Initially, it included the elected regional officials of ARMM until July 2019 (provide link for list of names). It headed by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) with the participation of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and some other sectior of the Bangsamoro such as Youth, Women, Settler Community, Indigenous People, Traditional and other. Unlike other members, interim Chief Minister is also appointed by the President among the MILF as the BTA is an MILF led body.

The Chief Minister is tasked to organized its Officer and members of Cabinet, majority of whom will come from the BTA.
The main task of the BTA is enumerated Article XVI Section 4. However, there are also other task that the BTA can do as provided by the whole Article XVI. The last task of the BTA is a Final Report and Recommendation to the 1st Parliament, House of Representatives, Senate of the Philippines and the Office of the President.
The Transition period for ARMM to BARMM starts from ratification until the Chief Minister for the 1st Parliament is elected. The election of the 1st Parliament is on 2022 with the synchronized National Elections.
