Atty. Rasol Mitmug, Jr.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is a member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority. He was appointed by President Rogrido Duterte in September 2019 and was re-appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on August 12, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n As Member of the Parliament, his current focus for legislation are the priority codes, transitional justice, Shari\u2019ah, halal industry, Islamic finance, creative industry, health, and education.<\/p>\n Before becoming a member of the Parliament, he served as the Regional Secretary of the Department of Education of the defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao; Chief of Staff and Assistant Executive Secretary of the Office of the Regional Governor-ARMM; Appointed Speaker of the Regional Legislative Assembly 7th<\/sup> Assembly; and consultant for Senator Teofisto \u201cTG\u201d Guingona III, among his earlier stints.<\/p>\n Atty. Mitmug graduated with a degree in Political Science from Ateneo de Manila University, and completed his law degree at Ateneo Law School-Rockwell. Mitmug is also a Career Executive Service Officer, a third-level eligibility conferred by the Civil Service Commission. He is also a proud member of the Philippine Navy reservist.<\/p>\n Atty. Mitmug has roots in both Lumba Bayabao, Lanao del Sur (through his father) and Cotabato City (through his mother). His growth and life experiences in a large extended family, with diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, has given him a unique position from which to understand and appreciate the Bangsamoro struggle and the importance of dialogue, tolerance, and respect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n
