Next up in the series of features for the Creative Industries Month, let us meet Mubarak M. Tahir, one of the 12 fellows chosen by the Mindanao Creative Writers Group (MCWG) and the Mindanao Creative and Cultural Workers Group (MCCWG) to the Pelikula Places Writing Workshops by the UPFilm Institute Pelikula Journal in cooperation with the UP Office of Extension Coordination, OVCRD.

Si Mubarak M. Tahir ay isang Filipino-Maguindanaoan na manunulat mula sa Kitango, Datu Piang, Maguindanao. Kasalukuyan siyang nagtuturo sa Mindanao State University, Lungsod ng Heneral Santos. Kabilang siya sa iba’t ibang rehiyonal at nasyonal na palihan sa pagsulat gaya ng Davao Writers Workshop 2017, Palihang Rogelio Sicat ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas 2018 at iligan National Writing Workshop. Naging bahagi ng iba’t ibang magasin, pahayagan, dyornal, antolohiya, at mga aklat ang kanyang mga maikling kuwento, tula, dagli, at personal na sanaysay gaya ng AGAM Book: Filipino Narratives on uncertainty and Climate Change, Mindanao Harvest 4: A 21st Century Literary Anthology, Davao Harvest 3, ANI: Katutubo Tomo 4 ng Cultural Center of the Philippines, BULAWAN: Literary Journal of Northern Mindanao, Dagmay, Philippine Graphics, Cotabato Literary Journal, Likhaan 13th Issue: The Journal of Contemporary Philippine Literature, University of Sto.
